today is irish overshoot day.

this means, that ireland consumed all resources since the new year by today, nature can provide within an entire year.

this disproportionate consumption of natural assets has a huge impact on climate, biodiversity and other planetary systems. and in long-term exploitation of our home planet it affects our livelihoods through a decline of pollinators, infertile soil, droughts and thereby water and food shortage.

ireland is already affected by climate change: in 2025 we had the second warmest year, the hottest summer and the fourth wettest autumn on record.

we cannot continue this economic system built on overconsumption. we cannot prioritise our economy over human’s survival. we cannot lock ourselves up in fossil fuels to make a few people rich, while the rest of us are suffering from its consequences.

as an eco-social artist i harness my graphical skills to spread awareness about environmental issues, point out what’s wrong and give solutions. not only because visuals are the language i speak, but also because people are touched by art: graphics cause instant emotions, communicate messages at a glace, are remembered better, use a universal language, make matters conceivable, and give credibility.
